This qualification covers the installation of dedicated conductive charging equipment for the charging of pure electric and plug-in hybrid electric road vehicles (PHEV) and includes the extended range electric vehicles (E-REV).
It covers the installation of both AC and DC charging equipment intended for plug-in electric vehicles (PEV) complying with BS EN 61851 and “The Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation” and requirements of BS 7671:2018+A2:2022.
Pre-requisites
This qualification is aimed at electricians working within domestic and or non-domestic premises and they shall hold as a minimum;

A Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671 (current edition)
and- A Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations or a combined award including Periodic Inspection & Testing
